Цель игры: повышение у учащихся мотивации к обучению

Задачи игры: формирование коммуникативной компетенции, расширение лексического запаса, кругозора учащихся, развитие межпредметных связей.

Оборудование: интерактивная доска, компьютер, магнитофон

Ход игры:

В начале игры класс делится на две-три команды, команды представляют себя: название, девиз, капитан

1 конкурс - разминка "Welcome to America”

1. Who discovered America? (Christopher Columbus, George Washington, the Pilgrims)

2. What is the largest city in the USA? (New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles)

3. What is the national symbol of America? (the rose, the bald eagle, the shamrock)

4. Which is the United States capital? (New York City, Los Angeles, Washington,D.C.)

5. Where is the Statue of Liberty? (New York City, Chicago, Washington,D.C.)

6. How many stripes has the American flag? (13, 50, 30)

7. Where is the tallest skyscraper in the USA? (New York City, Chicago, San Francisco)

8. When do Americans celebrate Independence Day? (July 4, December 25, February 14)

9. What is the national sport in America? (football, hockey, baseball)

10. Who was the first man on the moon? (Yuri Gagarin, John Glenn, Neil Armstrong)

11. Which is the coldest state of America? (Alaska, Texas, North Dakota)

12. How many states are there in the USA? (50, 15, 13)
